Wuerffel is a 16 year old john. He is a special needs boy that requires a dry lot from April to October to avoid laminitis. His beginnings were very hard for him so he has a difficult time trusting humans. Once in a stall he stands well for the farrier, enjoys his blanket and grooming. Leroy

Recently adopted!!

20 year old Leroy is a wonderfully ornery old man with special needs. He has previously foundered and requires a dry lot April-October with frequent visits from the farrier. He does require sedation for his feet after many many years without farrier care he is not a fan. He is up to date on Coggins, vaccines and dewormer. Please email if you are interested lostandfoundmaryland@gmail.com

Darwin

available for adoption

Darwin is a 10 month old john donkey that has torticollis secondary to trauma as a wee little guy. His crooked neck doesn’t slow him down from playing with the other donkeys and goats and annoying the older horses on property. He will require special care with farrier visits every 4-6 weeks to counteract his asymmetrical feet due to his abnormal gait. Twice yearly vet visits with occasional repeat neck x-rays to make sure he is not developing compression of his spine. Our vets feel he will have a long healthy life with good care. If you are interested in this fun little crooked guy please contact us at lostandfoundmaryland@gmail.com
